How Pickup Works

Distance and Journey Time

Jeddah airport to Makkah is approximately 94 km via Highway 40. The drive takes 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes depending on traffic and whether you stop at Miqat.

Peak arrival periods during Ramadan, Hajj season and school holidays can add time at the airport end — immigration and baggage reclaim may take longer than the drive itself. Allow 45 to 90 minutes from landing to walking out of arrivals, then the road time on top.

Evening departures from the airport during Ramadan can encounter heavier traffic on the Makkah road. Early morning and late night arrivals typically see the shortest transfer times.

Miqat Stop for Ihram

If you are arriving for Umrah and need to enter ihram before reaching Makkah, your driver stops at Masjid Aisha (also known as Masjid Taneem), the nearest Miqat point to Makkah on the Jeddah road. This stop is included in the fare at no additional charge.

The mosque has washroom and changing facilities. Most pilgrims spend 15 to 30 minutes here. Your driver waits in the car park.

If you are already in ihram from your departure city or prefer a different Miqat point such as Qarn al-Manazil (As-Sayl al-Kabeer), tell us when booking and your driver will take the appropriate route.

Passengers not performing Umrah can skip the Miqat stop entirely — the driver goes direct to your hotel.
